1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F). Wash the potatoes, then wrap them in aluminum foil. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the size of the potatoes.
2. Meanwhile, peel and finely slice the shallots.
3. Once the potatoes are cooked through, remove them from the oven and unwrap them.
4. Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise. Fill them by adding: the potato sauce, torn pieces of smoked salmon, shallots, capers, and dill.
5. Serve the jacket potatoes on a plate with a side of green salad seasoned to your liking. Add a splash of lemon juice, and it's ready to enjoy!
