Instructions

  • 1.   Cut the mushrooms into small pieces and sauté them in a pan with a drizzle of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and garlic. Set aside in a bowl.
  • 2.   In the same pan, melt the onions with a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of salt for 6 to 7 minutes and set aside.
  • 3.   In a large bowl, mix the meat, peas, mushrooms, onions, herbs, egg, and roughly crumbled bread crumbs. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • 4.   With your hands, form about a dozen meatballs (slightly larger than a golf ball). Pour a drizzle of olive oil into a pan and cook them for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown.
  • 5.   You can serve the meatballs with a Greek yogurt sauce with lemon juice and zest, salt, pepper, and coriander.
