Turkish bread is the simplest bread you will make as it requires no kneading, just mixing the ingredients and shaping it. This bread recipe is so light and airy. Here's how to make it in no time!

Course: Side dish
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Rest time: 60 minutes

Instructions

  • 1.   Whisk the flour with the salt and yeast. Add warm water and warm milk and knead until the liquids are absorbed.
  • 2.   Add olive oil and knead until a smooth dough forms (about 10 minutes).
  • 3.   Shape the dough into a ball, cover with vegetable oil, and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  • 4.   Once the dough has finished rising, cut it into 6 pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
  • 5.   Flatten each ball into a flatbread and place it on a preheated skillet over medium-high heat.
  • 6.   Cook for 5-6 minutes (2.5-3 minutes on each side).
  • 7.   When flipping each flatbread, it should form a pocket in the middle.
