Brookies

Have you heard of brookies? It's a devilishly addictive treat that combines brownies and cookies, pure bliss! for about thirty brookies

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Prepare the brownie: melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler. Off the heat, smooth the mixture and add the sugar. Whisk vigorously, then add the eggs. Finally, incorporate the flour and dried fruits.
  • 2.   Pour into a 23 cm (9-inch) square pan.
  • 3.   Prepare the cookie dough: mix the butter and brown sugar in a bowl. Whisk well to obtain a creamy texture, then add the egg. Incorporate the flour, baking powder, and chocolate chips. Mix everything quickly without overworking the dough.
  • 4.   Sprinkle the cookie dough over the brownie batter, like a crumble. Bake for about twenty minutes (exactly 18 minutes in mine).

    Allow to cool completely before cutting into small squares.

Notes & Suggestions

  • You can use pecans, hazelnuts, or crushed almonds according to your taste.
