Beef with Onions

Instructions

  • 1.   Start this beef with onions recipe by cutting the beef into thin slices. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sherry, sugar, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Add the meat, mix well, and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • 2.   Peel and finely chop the onions. Sauté them for 5 minutes in a wok over high heat, with a drizzle of oil. Add a little water and cook for a few more minutes until the onions become translucent. Set aside.
  • 3.   Heat a little oil in the wok. Add the marinated meat and stir-fry for 10 minutes over high heat. Add the onions back in and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • 4.   Arrange the meat on a serving dish. Sprinkle the top with chopped chives and serve with plain rice.
