WW Tuna Pasta Bake

This delicious bake will bring you some warmth in the heart of winter.

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish with oil.
  • 2.   Cook the pasta in a saucepan, then transfer it to a large bowl.
  • 3.   Grease a frying pan with oil and sauté the onions and peppers over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add to the pasta.
  • 4.   In a small saucepan, bring the milk to a boil. Meanwhile, beat the eggs in a bowl. Slowly pour the hot milk into the eggs while whisking continuously. Return the mixture to the saucepan and heat over medium heat until thickened (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat. Add the chives, paprika, salt, and pepper. Then add the sauce to the pasta.
  • 5.   Add the tuna, mix well, and transfer to the baking dish. Bake until the top starts to brown (about 20 minutes).

Notes & Suggestions

  • If you're short on time, you don't have to sauté the vegetables in the frying pan. We did it to enhance the flavor, but it's not essential.

  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 180 g of pasta
  • 1 onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 250 ml of skim milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 teaspoon of chives
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
  • 180 g of canned tuna in water (drained weight)
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
