Instructions

  • 1.   Cook the split peas for 40 minutes. Skim off any foam.
  • 2.   Add the carrots, onions, bay leaves, and potatoes (all peeled beforehand) and let simmer for 25 minutes on low heat.
  • 3.   Towards the end of cooking, add the garlic cloves and turmeric. Season with salt and pepper.
  • 4.   Remove the bay leaves.
  • 5.   Blend everything using an immersion blender.

  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh tarragon
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
