Swedish Meatball Sauce

Instructions

  • 1.   Use meatballs, ground beef patties, or make your own meatballs with ground meat: Season the meat with salt, pepper, and spices, mix well, and form balls about 3 to 4 cm in diameter.
  • 2.   Cut the shallot in half, peel it, and finely slice it.
  • 3.   In a sauté pan, sauté the shallots over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil and the meat for 5 to 7 minutes until cooked. Remember to flip the meat to ensure even cooking.
  • 4.   Squeeze the whole garlic clove with the skin on or mince it.
  • 5.   Towards the end of cooking, add the garlic, soy sauce, and cream, then continue cooking for 1 minute.
  • 6.   Serve with roasted or sautéed vegetables, pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or potato croquettes.
