Instructions

  • 1.   Set the slow cooker to low heat.
    Oven cooking: Set the oven to 350°F and cook for 3 hours, covered, in a Dutch oven or casserole dish.
  • 2.   Place the shallots and mushrooms in the bottom of the slow cooker. Dissolve the cornstarch in the beef broth and pour over the vegetables.
  • 3.   Mix together the rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, and pepper, and coat the meat with this spice mixture. Place the roast on top of the vegetables and cover.
  • 4.   After 7 1/2 hours, check the doneness. The meat should be fork-tender.
  • 5.   Add the green beans and continue cooking for 30 minutes.
  • 6.   Serve with noodles or rice.

  • 4 medium shallot
  • 1 cup of button mushroom
  • ½ cup of broth
  • 2 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon of dried rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon of thyme
  • ½ teaspoon of garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon of peppercorn
  • 900 g of braising beef (shoulder, chuck or rump)
  • 2 cup of green bean
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
