Instructions

  • 1.   Place whole potatoes, or cut into large pieces, in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
  • 2.   Bring to a boil.
  • 3.   Add salt (about 1 teaspoon of salt per liter of water).
  • 4.   Cover and reduce heat to maintain a simmer.
  • 5.   Whole potatoes cook in 20 minutes, while cut potatoes take 10 to 15 minutes.
