Quick Moussaka without potatoes (low-carb)

Instructions

  • 1.   Slice the eggplants into thin slices and bake them in the oven with half of the olive oil for 20 minutes at 220°C (425°F).
  • 2.   Sauté the onion in the remaining olive oil, then add the steaks that you will cut into pieces in the pan.
  • 3.   When the meat has browned, add the tomato pulp with finely chopped basil.
  • 4.   Stir well, then pour in the broth and grated cheese, stirring constantly for 5 minutes.
  • 5.   Season with salt and pepper (according to taste, taking into account the broth for saltiness).
  • 6.   In a gratin dish, line the bottom with the eggplants, then add alternating layers of the meat mixture and eggplants.
  • 7.   Finally, crumble the feta on top and broil in the oven for about 5 minutes.
