Truffade

Instructions

  • 1.   Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices. Pat them dry with a towel.
    Cook them in a pan over low heat with the diced bacon, mashing them with a fork.
    If you have chosen to use roasted potatoes, pour the packet into the pan with the bacon and follow the recipe.
  • 2.   Cut the Cantal cheese into small cubes and add them to the pan before the potatoes turn golden.
  • 3.   Let it melt for a few minutes, then add the crushed garlic.
    When everything is melted and stringy, the truffade is ready to be served.

  • 1 kg of potato
  • 1 kg of fried potato (optional)
  • 1 slice of bacon
  • 400 g of Cantal
  • 1 garlic clove
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
