Chicken Stew with Potatoes and Carrots

A recipe that kids love and warms little bellies in the winter. The preparation is simple and quick.

Instructions

  • 1.   Peel the potatoes and cut them in half. Peel the carrots and slice them into not too thin rounds.
  • 2.   Peel and finely chop the onion. Melt it in a cast iron pot with the margarine.
  • 3.   Add the chosen meat and brown it with the onions. Add the potatoes and carrots, then cover everything with water.
  • 4.   Add the ingredients for the bouquet garni (thyme, bay leaf, and cloves). Let it simmer for 2 hours.
  • 5.   Season with salt and pepper about 30 minutes before the end of cooking.

  • 8 chicken wings
  • 6 Nicola potatoes
  • 5 carrots
  • 25 g of butter
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme
  • 2 cloves
  • 4 bay leaves
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
