1. Peel the garlic cloves and cut them in half. Also cut the peppers in half (keep the seeds if you like spicy dishes).
2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan, and fry the garlic and peppers in it.
3. When the garlic and peppers are golden brown, add the contents of the can of tomatoes. Cook over low heat 10 to 15 minutes, stirring regularly. If the tomatoes are too sour, add a teaspoon of sugar.
