Is the weather bad where you are? No worries, I'll take you on a trip to Tahiti with this delicious coconut milk recipe! Chicken fafa gets its name from fafa, a plant from there that is used in the dish.

Instructions

  • 1.   Remove the stems from the spinach and discard the thick veins from the large leaves.
  • 2.   Thoroughly wash the spinach under running water without soaking them, then drain them.
  • 3.   Place the spinach in a large pot, without adding water.
  • 4.   Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • 5.   Meanwhile, peel the onions and garlic.
  • 6.   Peel the piece of ginger.
  • 7.   Chop the onions.
  • 8.   Crush the garlic and ginger together.
  • 9.   Heat the oil in a Dutch oven.
  • 10.   Cut the chicken breasts into pieces.
  • 11.   When the oil is hot, sauté the onions until golden.
  • 12.   Add the chicken pieces with the garlic and ginger.
  • 13.   Sear over high heat for 10 minutes.
  • 14.   Remove from heat and add the spinach.
  • 15.   Crumble the bouillon cube over the top.
  • 16.   Season with nutmeg.
  • 17.   Add salt and pepper.
  • 18.   Mix well.
  • 19.   Cover and cook for about 10 minutes over low heat.
  • 20.   Reduce the heat to the lowest setting.
  • 21.   Pour in the coconut milk and cook for another 5 minutes without boiling.
  • 22.   Serve hot in a shallow dish.
  • 23.   Enjoy your meal!

  • 2 onions
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 20 g of ginger powder
  • 25 cl of coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
  • ½ teaspoon of nutmeg
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
